We Take Care of Each Other

We Take Care of Each Other

In 2025, when Los Angeles faced overlapping crises with wildfires and immigration enforcement uncertainty, World Harvest responded as a trusted community hub, providing more than 300 pallets of food and essentials to local nonprofits, grassroots leaders, tenant unions, and partner organizations throughout affected neighborhoods. These efforts reflect a simple truth: We take care of each other.

Crisis Response and Community Resilience

World Harvest has been at the forefront of community support during Los Angeles' recent crises, connecting with families whether they visit our Arlington and Venice facility or access our services through trusted partner organizations. We work extensively with community partners who may not have the capacity to provide the substantial quantity and variety of food that we do.

As federal food assistance programs face potential cuts, World Harvest is ramping up our capacity and building stronger networks with community groups, tenant unions, nonprofit leaders, and housing support organizations. We're preparing to fill critical gaps in food access as the year progresses and community needs increase.

Ready to Respond

World Harvest has demonstrated our ability to mobilize quickly during emergencies, coordinate with multiple community partners, and deliver substantial resources where they're needed most. Our infrastructure, truck fleet, and community relationships position us as a reliable partner for disaster response and ongoing food security initiatives.
